Mr. Stephens has over
40 years of diversified experience in the business and environmental field,
serving as a regulator, consultant and as an industrial representative in both
a project management and program management capacity as well as being versed in
the environmental aspects of acquisition and divestiture. Industrial areas covered include organic
chemical specialties, utilities, agricultural pesticides, fertilizer
intermediates, mining, inorganic chemicals, pulp and paper, food processing,
resource recovery/recycling, aggregates, construction, coatings and polymers,
catalysts, and hazardous waste management and treatment, including incineration
from varied industrial and military sources.
His fields of competence include business risk management, project
management, program management, solid and hazardous waste disposal and
remediation, emergency response cleanup, shock sensitive chemical handling and
disposal, biological assessments, environmental auditing, environmental
assessments, environmental regulation analysis, hydrologic evaluations and
community relations. He is a Certified
Emergency Response Manager by the USEPA and the Phosphorus Manufacturers
Association. He has conducted over 4,000 environmental
assessments and Due Diligence evaluations on sites throughout the U.S. ranging
from green fields development to industrial environmental compliance.
